Batty Binders Quilt Guild –  2024-2025   Established 1995

Dues: $20 per year (our membership year is September to August) Dues are to be paid by the October meeting. Interested parties may attend three meetings to “check out the guild.” To attend further meetings, visitors must join the guild and are required to pay dues by the next meeting. Must be a member to participate in retreats and specialty groups. 

Meeting times & places: First Wednesday of each month 

                                          Tipp City Senior Center, 528 N Hyatt St, Tipp City, OH.  45371

                                           Meeting: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm; social time 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm

  Check the calendar for which meetings are preceeded by sewing days at the Tipp Senior Center 10-5

July is sewing day at a designated site 

                                            August is the organizational meeting with officers only

          Everyone is asked to wear a name tag 

                                     Members volunteer to provide snack/treats. Each member is responsible for their own beverage. 

                                     Show and Tell will take place time permitting. 

Retreats: Fall retreat is Oct. 4-6, 2024 (optional Thursday night Oct.3) at Golden Eagle Christian Center in Palestine, OH Limit 32 

                  Spring retreat is April 4-6, 2025 (optional Thursday night April 3rd) at Golden Eagle Christian Center in Palestine, OH Limit 32 

Retreat refund policy: Refunds may be given after the retreat for those who must cancel. 

Specialty Groups: Regular meetings do not always allow time to ask for advice, demonstrate a technique or sew/quilt. Sub-groups have been formed with that purpose in mind. Members are encouraged to start other groups as needed.

Twilight Quilters: a machine or hand sewing, 3rd Tuesday, Parish Hall /Trinity Episcopal 

Church 60 S. Dorset St., Troy, OH 5:00 PM to 8:00PM (bring a snack to share)

There are so many blocks that can be made from this simple block.  Once you have followed Beth Ann’s simple instructions for piecing and cutting the block, the magic comes in the rearrangement of the units.  You can find many tutorials on You Tube on constructing the block; from Missouri Star, Donna Jordan and others.
